CamMount

( Jenoptik digital cameras attached to a Leica Scope using the CamMount & DigiMount Adapter )

The CamMount will allow you to
quckly attach camcorders / digital cameras that do not have lens threads to your spotting scope, telescope or microscope
.

It can also be used if you would prefer not to utilise the lens threads to mount your camcorder or digital camera onto the spotting scope, telescope or microscope or to provide extra support.

You can even use it to get the camera lens and host equipment lenses even closer together, which will generally produce less vignetting at lower camera zoom settings, although the downside to this advantage is that it is a little more fiddly in use.

The CamMount must be used in conjunction with the DigiMount Adapter ( as shown above ).

If the horizontal distance from the front of your camcorder / digital camera lens to the centre of the tripod hole is greater than 85mm or the vertical distance from the base of the camcorder / digital camera to the centre of the camera lens is less than 35mm then unfortunately the CamMount will not fit your equipment.

The images below were taken with a
Fuji MX1200 1.3mp ( 1280 x 960 ) digital camera attached using the CamMount and DigiMount Adapter to the Leica APO Televid77 scope with the 30xWWB eyepiece. They are taken at an effective 640 x 480 resolution ( having used the 2x camera digital zoom ). Auto-levels were applied in Photoshop, they are heavily compressed and re-sized

They do show what can be achieved even with a low resolution and inexpensive digital camera
