• Comes complete with an eyecup rubber, lens cap and neck cord ( see image above ). It is highly recommended that the lens cap ALWAYS be fitted when the Xtend-a-View Pro is not in use as it eliminates dust and prevents damage to the glass viewing lens. Additionally, in certain situations, e.g. if whilst fitted to the camera, the eyepiece of the Xtend-a-View Pro is pointed directly at the sun, heat build-up can occur on the LCD screen and although the design miinimises this effect, it is still wise to use the lens cap.

The Xtend-a-View™ Pro VARIABLE will accommodate LCD screens typically referred to as 1.8 inch or 2 inch LCD's (measured diagonally). It has a 50mm overall width - 40mm of which is the viewable area and 5mm each side is a border, onto which the Velcro strips attach.

It has a 45mm overall height - 39mm of which is the viewable area and 5mm is a border at the top ( onto which the Velcro strip attaches ) and 1mm is a border at the bottom.

Made from aluminum, anodized to an outstanding finish, and fitted with a optically flat, custom ground 2x lens.

The Xtend-a-View Pro VARIABLE version features a focusing system providing adjustment of + / - 2 Diopters. This allows the user to fine tune the focus onto the camera LCD screen or 'de-tune' the focus to help eliminate the pixellation that can sometimes be seen on some camera LCD screens under magnification. The focus barrel on the VARIABLE version is also completely removeable, allowing the main body to be used as a simple LCD shade.

The Xtend-a-View™ PRO WIDE was developed specifically for owners of Sony Mavica cameras. The LCD screen on these cameras is wider than most other LCDs and the STANDARD Xtend-a-View™ Pro does NOT fit. The Xtend-a-View™ Pro WIDE IS compatible and gives you the same 2x magnification and crisp viewing that the Standard Xtend-a-View Pro offers. These wider LCD's are generally referred to as either 2.25 inch or 2.5 inch (measured diagonally).

The Xtend-a-View™ Pro WIDE has 67mm overall width - 55mm of which is viewable area and 6mm each side is a border, onto which the Velcro attaches.

It has 45mm overall height - 39mm of which is viewable area and 5mm is a border at the top (onto which the Velcro attaches) and 1mm is a border at the bottom.

The Xtend-a-View™ Pro MINI was developed specifically for owners of digital cameras with smaller LCD screens generally referred to as 1.5 inch and 1.6 inch (measured diagonally). The Xtend-a-View Pro STANDARD is a bit too large for these screens but the Xtend-a-View Pro MINI is just perfect... giving you the same 2x magnification and crisp viewing that the Xtend-a-View Pro STANDARD offers.

The Xtend-a-View™ Pro MINI has 42mm overall width - 33mm of which is viewable area and 4.5mm each side is a border, onto which the Velcro attaches.

It has 33mm overall height - 27mm of which is viewable area and 5mm is a border at the top (onto which the Velcro attaches) and 1mm is a border at the bottom.

Special Mounting Systems

On many camera models you can attach the Xtend-a-View Pro by using the appropriate version from the the Xtend-a-Mount™ range of LCD Sunshade Mounting Systems.

If you have a Nikon CP990 / CP995 or CP4500, you can purchase a special version of the Xtend-a-View Pro ( the Wing version ) which has a Support Strut fitted and mounts onto either the Mk2 Wing Bracket or Wing 4500 Bracket system avoiding the need to use Velcro.
